Flint Mountain Hotel - Jodie & Rob
Another autumnal wedding with extra emphasis on the warm tones associated with this colourful time of the year, Jodie & Rob put some great effort into designing their wedding.
From the leaves on the trees at the venues, to the table decor during the wedding breakfast and the accessorising of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, an unforgettable autumn theme was created.
The morning began with the bride, Jodie, and her bridal party preparing for the big day in their room at Flint Mountain Hotel.
As well as making acquaintances with immediate's of the Bride & Groom, its always great when you work alongside friendly, professional suppliers, who nail their trade enabling you to bounce off one another, and overall contribute to the enjoyment of the day. Make Up Artist (MUA) Laura Louise and Videographer Michael Lanley of Satin Pictures were no exception - a joy to work alongside and certainly get my recommendations.
Once the father of the bride had arrived for the proud moment, it was off to get married at Mold Registry Office in a pair of stunning vintage split screen campers, courtesy of 'Split the Difference'.... to meet the anxious groom.
"Here comes the bride....."
Now officially married, the wonderful couple could relax and embrace the lovely grounds surrounding the Registry Office, which looked really quaint with the autumn leaves. These colours and conditions are a dream to work with for reliable consistent light.
Being a Volkswagen Campervan owner myself and extremely passionate about my VWT5 Transporter camper conversion, it was only right that I incorporate these beautiful vehicles into the wedding shoot. Obviously this was agreed with the Bride and Groom before hand :-)
With an agreement to continue the Bride and Groom shots into the evening, with low light allowing some creativity, the guests congregated for food, wine and the speeches. The recurring autumnal theme really showed with the table decor at the Wedding Breakfast.
Post speeches, the sun light dropped considerably offering a huge treat for myself and the videographer. Flint Mountain Hotel is surrounded by a golf course complete with ponds and woodland, perfect for backdrops in this low light.
Using a high aperture of f.11 and a rapid shutter speed of 1/4000 sec these sharp silhouettes were created to contrast perfectly with the colour of the sky.
The cutting of the cake led into the Party.....
From day one, it was a real honour meeting, then working with Jodie and Rob. They have nothing but love and respect for one another. It was beautiful to observe and capture and I hope it shines through in these images of the day.
Huge congratulations to you both Mr & Mrs Newman.
