Pentre Mawr - Gwenan & Derfel
As I always say - I love returning to Pentre Mawr Country House. You can't help but be in awe of the professionalism and hospitality of Bre, Graham & the team. Oh...and a huge bonus, Pentre Mawr is great to photograph.
Even when the weather is as horrid as it was for Gwenan & Derfel's big day, the venue has so many various locations to take advantage of, regardless of the conditions.
More delightful feedback from a great Bride & Groom. I loved every second of working with them as well as their family & friends.
The morning began at the Bridal Cottage, located in the 'Secret Garden' which also houses the Ceremony Marquee. Together with her bridesmaids, flower girls, Mum and 'Man of Honour', there was a chilled and a load of laughter.
Once dressed and after revealing the wedding dress to her emotional father, it was time for Gwenan to join her father, who would walk her down the aisle before giving her away. Derfel waited patiently.
Typcally I would accompany the Bride & Groom to the spacious lawns with beautiful backdrop of the Clwydian Range. With powerful winds now accompanying the heavy rain, here is the best that Gwenan could manage :-)
But there was plenty of other opportunities at Pentre Mawr. I always love to use the exposed brick and stone work found all around the grounds. The country house has a load of character inside and out, as do, the stables, marquees and safari tents.
The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches take place in the main marquee - always great for a combination of good lighting and fantastic subject content - usually laughter!
A separate stable, joining the main marquee is used for the party at night, and in particular the 'First Dance' and the shenanigans that follow! The dance floor is never a dull place though!
Gwenan, Derfel, Family and Friends have been a joy to work with and I wish them every happiness in their lives together. For anyone that like my work, please spread the word, and if you are getting married at Pentre Mawr, or any venue, anywhere in the world, please don't hesitate to contact me.
CONGRATULATIONS/ LLONGYFARCHIADAU Mr & Mrs Roberts!!!
