Vale Country Club - Becca & Alex
A month or so earlier, Becca and Alex requested that we meet for a Pre-Wedding shoot to prepare for the big day. It's not uncommon for couples to request this to build up their confidence in front of the camera. These two were a dream, and they opted for Crosby Beach as the venue, with Anthony Gormley's statues - "Another Place".
They did a great job and with the thought of a stunning Vale Country Club, with it's incredible views of the Clwydian Range, families and friends present, plus the fact that they'd both be looking incredible, the Wedding Day was going to be so much easier for them.
For me, the day began at the nearby Feathers Pub in Ruthin where Becca, her Bridesmaids and Parents prepared for the day ahead. The brilliant Jess Waring did a beautiful job of the make up.
Positioned in a doorway with natural light illuminating one side of Becca's face, I had a great angle to capture these beautiful Medium Close Ups using my Sigma 70-200mm lens, locked at 85mm. Onward to change at the wedding venue, I took the opportunity to photograph the Wedding Dress, before guests and in particular, the groom arrived. Both the dress and venue looked stunning.
Our awesome Groom, Alex, arrived with his Groomsmen for some photo's, before guests arrived......and the wedding could commence.
There wasn't a dry eye in the house... just what I love - a load of emotion and interaction with beautiful surroundings and lighting. The celebrations could now proceed.... and it turned out to be a beautiful sunny day.
With the group shots done and some quality photography time with the new Mr and Mrs Lyall, it was time to feast and celebrate! How nice is this room? With it being quite a dark room with ambient lighting, it's good to have lenses that shoot at lower apertures. Shooting at f1.4 meant I could maintain the quality and keep my images looking vibrant without needing to shoot longer exposures or with a tripod.
Into the night, the Wedding Party welcomed the talented 'Samwise' to the party to play some outside acoustic. It was the perfect vibe to coincide with the setting sun, with the G&T's flowing. What a perfect way to end a perfect day!
I wish both Becca & Alex/Sash a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family. If you know of anyone that might be getting married at Vale Country Club or anywhere else in the world, and are in need of a wedding photographer to capture their day, please spread the word.
Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lyall!!!
