Pentre Mawr - Helen & Alyn
Yet another glorious wedding at Pentre Mawr Country House. I love coming back here - Bre and Graham (the owners) and their team are great to work with, and their attention to detail throughout the Wedding process is incredible. Today's lucky couple were Helen and Alyn, who were all round amazing!
With a customised package, where I arrived 1 hour before the ceremony (yes, you can customise a package with NR Imagery) I spent the time capturing the last bit of prep for both the Bride and Groom. The great thing about Pentre Mawr is that they are able to accommodate everything on the grounds, all within a small walking distance. Helen and the Bridal Party were getting ready in the Bridal Cottage, several paces away from the Ceremony Marquee, located in the walled Secret Garden. Either side of this is the Country House itself where guests would congregate and Safari Lodges where other guests can stay.
After the dress unveiling, Helen, her Dad and bridesmaids took the short walk to the marquee where guests, and most importantly, Alyn, the Groom, were waiting........
Alyn and Helen's guests congregated for the traditional confetti shot before the drinks and canapes could flow. I like this time, as, between Group shots and Portraits, it's great to capture the emotion of the Wedding Party, really enjoying themselves.
I LOVE how happy Helen looks in these :-) The Party continued into the nearby Barns and a separate marquee used for the Wedding Breakfast. There's so many locations and an enormous variety of backdrops, within the grounds, that for me, it's constantly an exciting place to shoot. There's exposed stone and brickwork, a luxurious Country House, vast sprawling fields with views of the Clwydian Range (Hills and Countryside), stunning barns with incredible character.... the list goes on.
With the speeches done, Helen and Alyn requested some Sparkler shots, before I departed. I also had some ideas of my own to photograph some shots of the newlyweds using 'Off Camera Flash' at the entrances to both the 'Secret Garden' and the 'Country House'.
I wish both Helen & Alyn a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family.
