Billesley Manor - Leah & Ben
Billesley Manor is a luxury hotel in Stratford Upon Avon. "Shakespeare penned his comedy ‘As You Like It’ here in 1599", so as you can well imagine this stunning manor offered a load of character, complete with a stunning Victorian-era topiary garden - Ideal for a wedding. Ideal for a wedding photographer. Today we celebrated Leah & Ben's special day.
The morning began with Leah and her bridal party for wedding preparation. I love a busy room with lots of people to photograph. So many happy faces, interaction and emotion - this makes my life as a photographer far easier. Even better when the rooms have as much character as these at Billesley Manor.
Ben (the groom), the groomsmen and guests were gathering outside. I took this opportunity for a few portraits and natural photo's whilst the bridal party changed into their dresses. The dress reveals followed before everyone departed for the ceremony - what a beautiful setting for a ceremony!
The sun was blazing and the drinks served - the celebrations could commence. The Drinks reception is a great opportunity for those candid moments of laughter and interaction as well as group shots and portraits. All before being called in for the Wedding Breakfast & speeches.
There's often a window between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. This is perfect for completing shots of the bride and groom as well as the remaining group shots. We completed everything in time for the evening wedding reception, and the traditions of cutting the cake and the first dance.
I wish both Leah & Ben a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family.
