Boderw - Jemma & Miles

What a fun day this was. I've known Miles and his family for years so it was lovely to be a part of his special day, with his beautiful bride Jemma. It was also an extremely convenient day for me, as St Asaph Parish Church is a 4 minute walk from my home in one direction, with the Bod Erw (for the wedding reception), 4 minutes the other way.

The morning began with Jemma and the bridal party upstairs at the Bod Erw. We had lots of space and lots of great lighting to play with, which made for some lovely photographs. The morning allowed for some lovely photo's of the dress, as well as candid shots of the bridal party enjoying themselves. Miles and the gents also arrived, soon after, suited and booted, looking very smart. They hid out of the way in the beautifully decorated tipi, which was prepared ready for the afternoons wedding reception.

Before leaving for the church in the campervan there was time for lovely moment, capturing Jemma with the big dress reveal to her dad.

With Miles and the guests waiting at the church, which included Ow's, the dog, we just needed the bride..... the ceremony could now commence.

Being a Manchester United fan, I'm not supposed to like anything to do with Liverpool FC, but this rendition of "You'll never Walk Alone" by Tesni Jones, was unbelievable. It definitely contributed to what was already a beautiful emotional ceremony. With the documents signed, it was now official - Congratulations to the newlyweds. I sensed a huge celebration to follow.... after a few group photos at the church.

Back at the Bod Erw, drinks were flowing, guests were mingling, the split screen campervan was gleaming... and Ow's the dog was smiling. Time for some food and speeches.

Dave the Sax had arrived and the Cocktail bar was now open - we were now into the evening reception... well and truly into Party mode. Whilst guests took advantage, Jemma, Miles and myself took a short drive to their home to utilise the grounds for some lovely couples photographs, whilst the sun dropped beneath the horizon.

Meanwhile inside the tipi and it was time for the traditions of the cutting of the cake and a first dance.

I’d like to wish Jemma & Miles a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
