Ceridwen Centre, Llandysul - Heulwen & Brett
"The Ceridwen Centre is a multi-award winning eco-sensitive holiday, retreat and event venue on a 40 acre Organic farm in the Teifi Valley, West Wales" (www.welshfoodanddrink.wales). I've been brought up living "in the middle of nowhere", but the location of the Ceridwen Centre really is a different world. It's such a peaceful place to be, right in the heart of the Welsh countryside. From the moment that Heulwen & Brett made contact with me, I was so excited for this day.
Throw a global pandemic into the equation where I hadn't photographed a 'Full Day' since January 2020, and I was even more excited for this wedding.
I decided to drive down the night before to allow myself time to check out the venue, in preparation for the big day. The owners and staff were so welcoming and guided me to a small parking area with electrical hook up for a couple of camper-vans. I was sorted for the night. Might I add that the pizza's (I had a Pizza Shawarma) were out of this world!!! The morning began with the Bridal Party.
The girls were in mid preparation when I arrived, with hair styling by 'Gwallt gan Eli' and Make-up by 'Country Side Beauty by Sara Davies'. Both are incredible at what they do and also lovely to work with. There was a lot of attention to detail on view - from beautiful handmade bunting and vibrant floral displays to the unique detail of the venue itself. I loved the Moet lights.
As guests arrived, we were treated to the talents of the brilliant Singer/Songwriter 'Bronwen Lewis', who had us all in complete awe with her powerful vocals - she really did entertain. As if that wasn't enough, Heulwen & Brett had arranged the work of Contemporary Colourist, Life and Landscape Artist, Helen Elliott. Amazing - it was great to see a wedding captured in a whole new unique perspective. I can't wait to see the finished results.
After the last few alterations and with Brett and his Groomsmen in position, the wedding could commence.
Now officially Husband & Wife, the celebrations could begin, starting with the Drinks reception, which offered the chance for the iconic confetti shot.
The huge grounds at the Ceridwen Centre offer so many various backdrops, so we arranged a walk, to take in the many photo opportunites - Here are just a few, which showcase the variety, beauty and uniquness of this great venue.
Wedding Breakfast soon followed in the attached teepee, with a cracking country playlist in the background, which really helped set the mood. Plus, I'm going through a Country Music phase, so really appreciated it, as I enjoyed my beautiful wedding breakfast. Yum! The food at this venue is so good.
These smiles pretty much summed up the day and also my overall mood - It was such a great feeling being back shooting full day weddings. I hope there are no further obstacles throughout the year, and that all of the other couples get to enjoy their big day, just as Heulwen & Brett did.
I wish both Heulwen & Brett a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family. If you know of anyone that might be getting married at the the Ceridwen Centre or anywhere else in the world, and are in need of a wedding photographer to capture their day, please spread the word. Congratulations!!!
