Gellifor Marquee - Elly & Liam
Elly and Liam’s wedding was nothing short of incredible. Set in the heart of North Wales, their day perfectly blended the charm of Llanganhafal Church with the relaxed, scenic vibe of their marquee reception in Gellifor.
The area itself is stunning—rolling hills, quiet countryside lanes, and views that make you stop and take it all in. It was the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and plenty of personality. Here’s how it all unfolded.
The day kicked off at Escape to the Stables, tucked away in the beautiful village of Llandyrnog. The setting was as peaceful as it gets, but inside, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement.
Elly’s dress from Liverpool Bridal Boutique hung beautifully, surrounded by thoughtful details, while Zoe Ellen Butterworth and Leanne Liepins worked their magic on hair and makeup. Moments like Elly’s mum helping with last-minute adjustments and the dress reveal with her dad were emotional highlights of the morning.
Over at Llanganhafal Church, Liam and his groomsmen were getting ready to greet guests. Suited up in classic attire from Moss Bros, they looked sharp. Between buttonholes, group shots, and catching up with arriving friends and family, there was plenty of banter to go around. Elly’s arrival in a car by Bespoked Wedding Cars was picture-perfect. Walking arm-in-arm with her dad to the church doors was a moment of calm before the day’s biggest moments.
At the marquee in Gellifor, the celebrations continued. Guests mingled over drinks taking in the beautiful scenery. I spent some time capturing details inside the marquee, from the beautifully styled tables to the personal touches scattered throughout.
We also carved out 15 minutes for a couples' shoot, featuring Gellifor’s scenic views, and then gathered everyone for group photos. The atmosphere was relaxed and full of fun.
Elly and Liam flipped the script with speeches first, kicking things off with a load of laughter. Then it was time to dig into an incredible meal served up by Dine a Design.
Midway through, the surprise of the day arrived: singing waiters! They had the crowd laughing, clapping, and singing along, adding an unforgettable twist to the afternoon. Liam's surprised reaction was priceless.
Before heading to the marquee, we took a little detour to the Fairy Glen. This hidden gem added a magical, natural backdrop for some couples' shots. Elly and Liam were absolute naturals, making the most of the serene surroundings.
The evening fun kicked off with the 'Cutting of the Cake' and the tradition of 'Throwing the Bouquet'! The dance floor was buzzing thanks to music from Keenan Jones Band and DJ Chris G. Meanwhile, guests enjoyed the late-night offerings from KK Catering and drinks from the Llindir Bar, making sure no one went hungry or thirsty.
Elly and Liam’s wedding was everything you’d hope for in a celebration: heartfelt moments, unique touches, and an amazing party to top it all off. The combination of a picturesque church, a relaxed marquee setting, and the energy of their family and friends made it a day to remember.
