Chester Wedding - Helen & Mike

Restrictions have lifted and couples can have as many guests as the venues allow them to. This was a huge breakthrough for the Wedding industry and for couples who have had to wait an age to get married due to the constant changes. I had the honour of capturing Helen & Mike's incredible day in Chester City center followed by a reception at the extremely quaint village of Eccleston. Made all the more exciting due to the relaxation of Covid ruling.

The day started at the family home in Handbridge, just across the River Dee. After some Wedding Preparation and family shots, I made the short walk to the iconic and prestigious Chester Town Hall, where I was met by Mike, and his groomsmen, before their ceremony commenced.

Staff at the Town Hall mentioned a popular location for the "confetti shot" where guests can drop confetti from the first floor on to the Bride & Groom below. This made for some lovely unique photographs.

With the bad weather holding off for a few hours (the forecast was for storms) we were able to take the scenic walk past many of Chester's main attractions - we started outside the Town Hall, followed by Chester Cathedral, before walking the City Walls, past the famous Eastgate Clock and eventually dropping down to the River Dee where we boarded the Lady Diana boat for a cruise up river to the beautiful village of Eccleston. This is exactly why I love my job :-)

The rest of the evening consisted of speeches and great food at Eccleston Village Hall.

It's so good to be back photographing weddings. As with many Wedding suppliers, the schedule until November is absolutely rammed with bookings, but in contrast to last year, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I wish both Helen & Mike a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family.
