Henblas Country Park - Lisa & Wes

Lisa and Wes’s wedding in July was nothing short of spectacular. Held at the beautiful Henblas Country Park, this venue is nestled in the heart of Anglesey and offers stunning countryside views, charming rustic spaces, and an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and refined. The weather couldn’t have been better - except for a little wind, we were treated to clear skies and perfect conditions for photography throughout the day.

Wedding Prep

The day started with Lisa and her bridal party getting ready at Henblas. The room was filled with excitement as Rhiannon Pritchard worked on makeup and Elin from Ypdws perfected the hair. I focused on capturing the details—Lisa’s dress personally selected from a store in her native Germany, Himmelreich Bridalstore was a standout, and the shoes, jewellery, and perfume added those final elegant touches.

A lovely moment came during the bridal alterations with Lisa’s mum and sister, as well as a dress reveal to Lisa's bridal party. We even managed to create some creative reflection shots using a mirror, which turned out beautifully. It was clear how much thought and care had gone into every detail.

The Gents’ Prep

Over in the Mancave, Wes and his groomsmen were in good spirits as they got ready. The buttonholes were pinned, jokes were exchanged, and we made time for some solo and group shots in this unique space. The Mancave provided the perfect backdrop for some relaxed, natural moments with the lads.

The Ceremony

The ceremony took place in Henblas’s charming ceremony room, with its warm, modern aesthetic setting the tone for an emotional and heartfelt service. Lisa and Wes exchanged vows and rings, sealing their promises with a kiss. After signing the register, the newlyweds made their way down the aisle as their guests cheered.

Confetti & Group Shots

After the ceremony, it was time for confetti and the main group photo with all 72 guests. The spacious grounds of Henblas provided plenty of options for group shots, and the enthusiasm of Lisa and Wes’s friends and family made this part of the day a joy to capture.

Drinks Reception

During the drinks reception, guests mingled and enjoyed the relaxed vibe while I whisked Lisa and Wes away for a quick couples shoot. We made the most of Henblas’s beautiful grounds, including some creative shots through as well as showing off the reception room, beautifully decorated by the amazing Scent with Love. These moments were intimate yet light-hearted, reflecting the couple’s easy going connection. Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed.

The Reception & Evening

As the evening rolled on, guests enjoyed lawn games and even a ride on a Bucking Cow and Sheep, courtesy of Anglesey Bouncy Castle Hire. Wes’s mum created the stunning wedding cake adding a sweet and personal touch to the celebrations. Before the first dance, Lisa and Wes joined me for one last evening couples shoot, in a nearby field, followed by the beautifully lit Secret Garden.

It was an absolute privilege to photograph Lisa and Wes’s big day. Henblas Country Park provided the perfect backdrop for a wedding full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Congratulations to the happy couple!
