Marquee Wedding, Llangynhafal - Steffi & Tom

It's always an honour to photograph a friends wedding. I've known Steffi & Tom for many years so capturing their wedding was very special to me. Tom is from the small village of Llangynhafal in the Vale of Clwyd, and he and Steffi decided to keep their big day local with a ceremony at the village Church, followed by a marquee on the grounds of the local pub - The Golden Lion. Check out the spectacular views that I was lucky enough to work with.

The morning began with Steffi and her bridal party at Steffi & Tom's home, in nearby Gellifor. It was a very relaxed morning and the weather and photography conditions were perfect. Laura O'Leary from Moda in Penrhyn Bay was on hand to style Steffi and the Bridal parties hair, with Keena Roberts on Make up.

Once Steffi revealed the dress to her Mum & Dad and after a few portraits of our beautiful bride, I departed for St Cynhafal's Church to meet Tom and the Groomsmen and for the small matter of a ceremony.

Steffi and her Dad arrived in style in this beautiful Nissan Figaro provided by Toms parents. It really looked the part for the wedding.

What a beautiful ceremony - congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Seddon. Whilst guests ventured over to the nearby Golden Lion for the drinks reception, Steffi, Tom and I went "off-roading" up the Clwydian Range for some unbelievable vantage points. Meanwhile Toms Dad entertained the little man, James.

James was now ready to be involved in the photo's too :-)

Back at the church Steffi & Tom jumped into the Nissan Figaro to make an entrance at the drinks reception. Their guests awaited, with a load of confetti.

Peak Marquee Hire provided the marquee at the back of the Golden Lion. Whilst canapes were being served and with the drinks flowing, the party was well and truly underway. I took advantage of the lovely conditions for some group photo's and some natural candid moments. The Wedding Breakfast and Speeches followed which made for some hilarious reactions.

Live music followed the speeches with local legends Penni Neale and John Sellers entertaining the crowds. We were even treated to some tracks from one of Steffi's bridesmaids. It was an amazing vibe with everyone enjoying themselves - even taking advantage of the glitter make up outside.... which lead us all into the evening reception and a few of the more traditional stuff, such as 'Cutting of the (cheese) cake' and the 'First Dance'.

Even I got in the action :-)
