Oriel Hotel - Rachel & Dan

In April, I had the pleasure of photographing Rachel and Dan's wedding at the stunning Oriel Hotel. The entire day was filled with laughter, love, and beautifully coordinated moments that made it a joy to capture. It was an honor to be part of such a special day at a venue as charming as Oriel Hotel.

The day began in the Bridal Suite upstairs, where Rachel and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The room was alive with excitement and emotion. I focused on capturing the intricate details of Rachel's dress, shoes and other detail. Moments like alterations with her mum, the dress reveal with her bridesmaids, and a particularly touching dress reveal with her dad were filled with heartfelt emotions and made for some truly memorable photos.

I captured some beautiful detail shots of the ceremony room, showcasing the elegant setup and décor, by the amazing D&D Occasions.

While Rachel was getting ready, I took the opportunity to capture special moments of Dan with his son as well as group shots of Dan and the groomsmen.

The ceremony took place downstairs inside the hotel. The entrance of the bridal party was a beautiful moment, filled with anticipation and joy - I always love this moment alternating the focus between groom and the bride or bridesmaids walking down the aisle.

Now the celebrations could commence, starting with the main group shot, from the roof. The drinks reception is a great time to capture guests mingling and enjoying the celebration. I then took Rachel and Dan for a couples shoot around the beautiful grounds of Oriel Hotel. We utilised the picturesque settings for intimate portraits. Following this, we organised group photos, keeping an eye out for more opportunities for guests mingling, ensuring every meaningful moment was captured.

As the evening approached, it was time for the speeches, which preceded the wedding breakfast. This was my time to enjoy some food too - delicious!

Into the evening reception and the party started with the first dance. Guests soon flooded onto the dancefloor, making for some great photo opportunities.
