Pentre Mawr Country House - Abi & Andy

On the 1st June 2024, Abi and Andrew tied the knot at the stunning Pentre Mawr. With its rustic charm and laid-back atmosphere, the venue set the perfect scene for their big day – a day filled with laughter, genuine moments, and memories they’ll hold onto for years to come.

The day started at the Bridal Cottage, where Abi was getting ready with her family and close friends. There was a good dose of excitement in the air, a few pre-wedding laughs, and plenty of last-minute touches as everyone prepared for the day ahead. Abi’s dress reveal was a real highlight, and her dad’s face when he saw her all dressed up said it all.

We took some relaxed group shots with Abi, her mum, and bridesmaids, setting the stage for what was sure to be a fun day.

Meanwhile, Andrew and the gents were over at the Safari Lodges, handling their own preparations. It was a relaxed vibe as they pinned on their buttonholes, got the suits just right, and shared a few laughs before heading to the ceremony site. The guys made time for a few group shots, capturing the camaraderie among friends and family.

With the details around the venue coming together, and guests starting to arrive, the anticipation was building up.

At 3:00 pm, Abi and Andrew met under open skies for their outdoor ceremony. Abi walked down the aisle, looking great, and Andrew couldn’t have looked happier. Their vows were heartfelt, and they sealed it all with a kiss, greeted by cheers and applause. After signing the register, they walked back down the aisle, officially husband and wife.

After the ceremony, it was time for the classic confetti toss – a fun, lighthearted moment with everyone joining in. We then gathered the entire crowd for the main group shot, capturing all the friends and family who came out to celebrate with Abi and Andrew.

The drinks reception on the lawn provided a chance for everyone to relax, catch up, and enjoy the vibe at Pentre Mawr. With a mobile bar on hand, guests mingled and enjoyed some downtime while we took a few more couple’s shots with Abi and Andrew. These quieter moments between them gave us some great shots that really captured their connection.

Then it was time for a few more group photos with family and close friends – making sure to get everyone in who mattered most to the couple.

When everyone was seated for dinner, guests were welcomed with a shot wall – a fun touch that kept things light-hearted. Dinner, by the unreal Marc Macauley Catering and his team, included a “carve your own meat” setup, which had everyone getting involved, and certain guests were given aprons and chef hats, keeping the laughs rolling.

A real standout moment was the surprise appearance of singing waiters, who added a whole new level of energy to the evening! Their performance had everyone joining in, making it a lively transition from dinner into the night’s festivities.

The evening continued with the cutting of the cake, followed by their first dance. Surrounded by family and friends, Abi and Andrew kicked off the dancing, officially starting the party. As the sun started to dip, we grabbed a few sunset shots near the big tree on the lawn. The golden light was perfect, giving us some memorable, relaxed shots of Abi and Andrew together.

Abi and Andrew’s wedding at Pentre Mawr was a true celebration – relaxed, fun, and full of memorable moments with the people they love. Here’s to many more adventures together!

I’d like to wish Abi & Andrew a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
