Pentre Mawr Country House - Emma & Chris

What a day this was! Emma & Chris’s wedding brought together everything you could want from a North Wales celebration—beautiful locations, heartfelt moments, and a buzzing atmosphere from start to finish.

The day began with preparations at Pentre Mawr Country House, nestled in the stunning Welsh countryside. The venue’s mix of charm and character made it the perfect place for Emma, Chris, and their loved ones to get ready. With a ceremony at the lovely Nant Hall Church in Prestatyn and a reception back at Pentre Mawr, this was a day full of incredible moments and memories.

Morning Preparations The morning at Pentre Mawr was filled with excitement and anticipation. Emma and her bridal party were in great hands, with Bianca Simone on makeup and Look Fabulous by Sinead styling hair. Between capturing the little details—the dress from Cariad Bride, flowers by Flock Firth Flowers, and personal touches—it was all about the emotions and interactions.

Meanwhile, Chris and the gents were also getting ready at Pentre Mawr. Suited up in sharp attire from Trefor Jones Ltd, they were relaxed but excited, sharing a few laughs while pinning buttonholes and taking some solo and group shots before heading to the church.

Wedding Planner, Helen, was on hand to help get Emma into her dress before a beautiful dress reveal to the Bridal Party and Emma's Dad. The Limo's had arrived to whisk everyone to the church.

Ceremony at Nant Hall Church The ceremony at Nant Hall Church was as beautiful as it was personal. Guests arrived to stunning church décor, and the moment Emma stepped out of the Limo to walk to the church doors with her dad was unforgettable.

Inside, surrounded by family and friends, Emma and Chris exchanged vows, rings, and a kiss that sealed the deal.

Confetti & Scenic Stops After the ceremony, the confetti moment outside the church was full of laughter and celebration. From there, we made a quick stop to capture photos with Chris’s nan at her home—a really special touch that added even more meaning to the day.

Then it was off to Gwaenysgor Hill for a quick couples’ shoot. The views were breathtaking, and Emma and Chris made the most of the stunning surroundings before heading back to Pentre Mawr.

Drinks Reception & Fun

Back at Pentre Mawr, the drinks reception was in full swing. Guests mingled while enjoying the stunning outdoor setting. There was so much happening—garden games, space hoppers, ice lollies, and even a bouncy castle provided by King of the Castles. Ron Saunders’ live guitar set added a relaxed vibe to the afternoon.

We took some time for group photos and another couples’ shoot, capturing the newlyweds with the rolling Welsh hills as a backdrop.

Wedding Breakfast & Speeches

The marquee at Pentre Mawr looked incredible, with florals by Flock Firth Flowers setting the scene. Marc Macauley's catering team provided an amazing meal, and the speeches—kicking off the evening—were both heartfelt and hilarious. Capturing the reactions from the guests was a highlight in itself.

Evening Celebrations

As the sun slowly set, we managed to sneak Emma and Chris away for an evening couples’ shoot. With the Welsh countryside as their backdrop, the photos were nothing short of stunning.

The evening do featured entertainment from Event Lounge on the decks, and the couple’s first dance was one for the books. Cutting the cake from Corinna Squire was the cherry on top of an unforgettable day.

Emma and her bridesmaids had time for a quick go on the bouncy castle before I left. Emma & Chris, thank you for letting me be part of your incredible day. From start to finish, it was a wedding to remember. I like forward to returning to Pentre Mawr again in 2025 for lots more stunning wedding celebrations.
