Plas Isaf - Laura & Aaron

Its been a while since I worked here, but it was back to Plas Isaf Country Barn, Corwen and yet another glorious day - this time for Laura & Aaron's wedding celebrations. "The superb 17th Century listed barn is ideally situated, with some of the most spectacular views of the Dee Valley. Elegant surroundings and a warm ambience set the scene for your special day. The barn offers a wealth of versatility, with impressive oak trusses and slate floors, which makes it a blank canvas. A marquee is positioned next to the barn, which overlooks the open countryside, this creates the opportunity for an intimate gathering or a celebratory party from 30 to 300 guests" (https://www.plas-isaf.co.uk/).

After wandering the grounds taking in the fresh summer morning air, I headed over to the Bridal suite log cabin, where I met Laura and her bridal party for 'Wedding Preparation', as well as Andy Heckman, who was videographer for the day. Andy is great company and excellent at what he does.

The gents arrived in style... and to my satisfaction, in a classic Ford Mustang. There were a load more photographs of this car, but obviously with this being a wedding blog, I had to focus on the main event.

Meanwhile back at the bridal suite, Laura was revealing the dress to her bridal party. Aaron and the guests took a seat in preparation for the ceremony.

Now we could celebrate. Following on from the ceremony, Laura & Aaron were showered in Confetti after a big group photo of everyone, before the booze was served. Whilst guests enjoyed the drinks reception, Laura, Aaron and I took a walk through the grounds.

Their furry friend Max, who doubled up as ring bearer in his Welsh dragon dicky-bow, got in on the action with some beautiful poses and smiles for the camera. I also picked up a little helper who gave me plenty of tips and tricks - he was great company :-)

The marquee looked spectacular. As you'll see from the following photo's of the Wedding Breakfast and speeches, you'll see how much of a dream marquee lighting can be - it's one giant light diffuser. But first some last group shots and some fun throwing the bouquet.

The marquee now doubled up as a casino, which turned into a very popular choice... and great for photo's. There was time for one last couples shoot of Laura & Aaron in a nearby wooded field before we were summoned for the traditions of the cutting of the cake and the first dance.

I’d like to wish Laura & Aaron a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
