Soughton Hall - Amy & Ryan

Its always a joy to work at Soughton Hall - the venue has so many beautiful locations for photographs, regardless whether indoors or outside. Today was Amy & Ryan's wedding day, and combined with the venue, the weather conditions and some amazing people, it made for a great celebration... and some beautiful photo opportunities.

There's so much beautiful lighting, textures, details and props at Soughton Hall, which allow me to be creative. I utilised the ceremony room to capture the dress and shoes etc, before settling with Amy and her bridal party in the nearby wedding preparation room, where they were having their hair and make up done by the amazing Poppy Michelle (Make-up) and Gillian Roslan (Hair).

Downstairs, Ryan and the Groomsmen had arrived and welcomed guests before a few pre-wedding group photo's.

The Bridesmaids kept themselves busy in other ways :-) whilst Amy had the final touches completed by Poppy.

Before heading to the ceremony, there was time for some emotional dress reveals. Firstly to Amy's dad... and then the bridesmaids. Ryan waited patiently with the guests, before the music began and Amy, together with her bridesmaids and Dad, made the walk down the aisle for the ceremony to commence.

Congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Griffiths. The drinks reception would follow... but first there was time to get covered in confetti.

I took time during the drinks reception for group photo's as well as a couples shoot for our newlyweds, with that stunning Soughton Hall backdrop.

Meanwhile, inside, the room was ready for the wedding breakfast and looked absolutely beautiful.

Speeches preceded the food, so before I could disappear to fill up on some quality cuisine myself, there was time for some hilarious and emotional reactions. I do love the speeches.

With the day guests fed and with evening guests arriving, I snuck off with Amy & Ryan for photo's at Soughton Hall's other wedding venue option - the nearby 'Coach House'. Once the evening photo shoot was done, we headed inside for a main group photo on the dancefloor before the traditions of Cutting the Cake, Throwing the Bouquet and the First Dance.

I’d like to wish Amy & Ryan a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
