Soughton Hall - Charlotte & Craig
This was a tremendous day. Similar to my recent wedding shoot at Soughton Hall (for Llywela & Andy) I was blessed to work with yet another happy, smiley couple full of love and laughter. It really was contagious, and I don't remember a second where myself and videographer Dan (of Dream Capture Films), weren't smiling back at Charlotte and Craig.
During COVID, I met with Charlotte, Craig and their children at Moel Famau for a Pre-Wedding/ Engagement shoot so that they could get use to the camera. The conditions were perfect.
Incidentally, a Pre-Wedding shoot is available to all couples who book me to capture their day - please drop me a message if you'd like further info.
Forward nearly one year and it was Charlotte & Craigs time. Soughton Hall is unreal - "Soughton Hall is an exclusive use wedding and event venue. On the border of Cheshire and North Wales, this stunning Georgian country house is approached down a sweeping driveway and surrounded by landscaped gardens. Full of character, charm and warmth, this lovingly restored hotel boasts 15 individually decorated bedrooms and a host of grand, but cosy reception rooms
that make Soughton feel like a home from home.
The home of the Wynne Bankes family for over 200 years, Soughton combines the atmosphere of a cherished family home with the luxury of a boutique country retreat – perfect for social and business events and a perfect setting for exclusive use weddings – our speciality" (soughtonhall.co.uk)
The gents were in great spirits enjoying the fresh air, dressed in their kilts, looking extremely smart. Meanwhile in the Bridal suite, Charlotte read out one of many messages that Craig would have delivered to her throughout the morning. Expecting tears, yet again, it was nothing but smiles and happiness.
Whilst Charlotte read one final message, Craig was in position waiting for his bride along with their many guests. Side note: I love photographing weddings in this room - there's so much colour and character.
Again..... more smiles :-)
I can not believe that Craig flashed to all of his guests - at least they saw the funny side!
The confetti shot led us to the Drinks reception, where guests mingled, group photo's took place and myself and the videographer were able to take Charlotte & Craig for a couples photo shoot inside the hall and up the lane with perfect backdrops of the venue.
Also.... Simon - the Singing Piano Man - was in the house doing what he does best. Honestly I HIGHLY recommend this gent to perform at your wedding - he is incredible at what he does!
This is the point in the day where I take a break. an opportunity to refuel before the speeches and the evening reception begins.
The kids all seemed pretty well occupied too, enjoying themselves on the grounds...
Until Mum & Dad decide to show them up....
Now for the evening reception - Cutting of the Cake, The First Dance and lots of shapes on the dancefloor.
I’d like to wish Charlotte & Craig a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
