Soughton Hall - Ellie & Josh
My first wedding of 2023, back at Soughton Hall, was a stunning one. Great conditions at a great, great venue and with the loveliest couple - Ellie & Josh. The morning began at Soughton Hall, where the bride and her bridal party where preparing for the day ahead.
I used the time to photograph the detail at the venue as well as the dress, shoes, hair and make up. Today, I had the honour of working with the extremely talented Poppy Michelle, who worked on both make up and bridesmaids hair, whilst Rebecca Morgan worked on Ellie, the brides hair.
Before I could dart to the nearby church in Northop, to meet Josh and the gents, I needed to capture Ellie getting into her dress, in time for a beautiful and emotional dress reveal to her proud Dad.
At Northop Church, the gents were dressed and looking extremely smart. Guests had arrived and were sat in the beautiful church. Now we just needed our bride to arrive...
Officially married and now looking extremely relaxed, the newlyweds, Ellie & Josh had one last aisle to walk down before guests could depart for Soughton Hall and the Drinks reception...
You've got to love the drive and the grounds at this stunning venue. Soughton Hall certainly deserves its reputation. The hospitality on the day is just as impressive. It's always a pleasure to work here, alongside the Soughton Hall team. At the drinks reception we had time for group shots, a lovely couples photo shoot, and plenty of those candid shots, that everyone loves.
I love these veil shots. Joel did an incredible job (expect maybe on take 2 - keep scrolling)...
I love using these big windows in the main hall, which perfectly illuminate our beautiful bride and the detail on her dress and flowers. Whilst guests were being seated and once I'd completed these last few photo's of Ellie & Josh, it was time for speeches and wedding breakfast.
With a full and very satisfied belly, It made sense to take a walk and avoid getting too comfortable. So, we ventured the stunning grounds and enjoyed another couples shoot in the lovely evening low light.
I was so made up with the results. Ellie & Josh were game, the lighting was perfect and together with Amy from 'Capture the Kiss Wedding Films' (who was an absolute delight to work with, and a great laugh) we enjoyed a fun and creative time, before the evening reception could commence.
I’d like to wish Ellie & Josh a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
