Soughton Hall - Jemma & Toby

Soughton Hall is one of the most beautiful and iconic wedding venues on the North Wales circuit. Its always great to return - this time for the amazing wedding of Jemma & Toby... Mr & Mrs Blackmore.

The morning began with Jemma and the Bridal Party in the beautiful bridal suite at Soughton Hall, together with Laura Vaughan from the Hair Lounge (Trefnant) and Huze Makovers (Heswall) for make-up. 'Bridal prep' always consists of detail shots of the dress, some shots of the hair and make up and the overall interaction and emotion of the morning. It's also surprisingly the most relaxed part of the day, before the mad rush, just before the ceremony.

Mid-preparation I was also able to sneak in a couple of shots of Toby and his groomsmen. Guests started to arrive, the room was fully dressed for the ceremony and the girls we're getting themselves into their dresses, in time for a beautiful dress reveal moment between Jemma and her Dad. The ceremony soon followed.

Now official, it was time to celebrate. The drinks reception followed the iconic confetti corridor shot. Jemma, Toby and I utilised time during the drinks reception for shots of the newly weds and portaits/group shots, in time for the wedding breakfast.

With the marquee now set up it was time for one of my favourite parts of the wedding day - the speeches. Its a great opportunity to capture some emotion - mostly the grooms nerves and a load of laughter.

With a little free time before the evening party began, I took a walk with Jemma, Toby and the Bridal Party to take a look around the grounds and get some more shots at yet more beautiful locations. The 'Cake Cutting' followed, before the First Dance and some fun shots of people looking happy after a few drinks :-)

I wish both Jemma & Toby a lifetime of happiness together. I loved capturing their day with great friends and family.
