The Barn at Faenol Fawr - Sally & Wes
This was a great story - Sally & Wes married many years ago on a, then, affordable budget, promising themselves that one day they would re-marry and have one huge celebration. Time has flown by - they now have 3 fantastic children and a reputable business, in 'Go Goodwins' Coaches, so it was time for that celebration!
Sally & Wes chose to marry at the Faenol Fawr in Bodelwyddan. The ceremony was to take place at the new outdoor pagoda, before their reception indoors at 'The Barn'. The morning began with Sally and the Bridal party.
A couple of the coaches were brought along to the venue - one to transport guests, and the other - 'The Prince of Wales', for photo opportunities. This coach meant a lot to Wes.
Meanwhile, outside, the guests were sat waiting for the ceremony to commence. It was lovely to witness Sally and Wes's children so involved. The son was best man, whilst doubling up, by walking his Mum down the aisle. One of the daughters did a reading during the ceremony, whilst the other daughter spoke during the wedding breakfast. Also, a special mention to Sally & Wes's choice of music to walk down the aisle - "Suddenly" by Angry Anderson - just like Scott & Charlene, all those years ago (google 'neighbours' or 'Kylie & Jason Wedding'). A classic!
With the ceremony now done, the drinks reception was under way, and it was to be a great celebration. I utilised time during the drinks reception for group shots, a couples photo shoot whilst taking the opportunity to capture the natural shots that I love to do.
The Barn, which was to house the evening reception was beautifully decorated and ready to welcome guests for the Wedding Breakfast and speeches. We were also treated to a Toastmaster.
After the speeches, another toastmaster arrived.....with a twist to the proceedings, much to the guests amusement.
What a great way to lead into the evening reception. The toastmasters provided some tremendous entertainment. The traditional first dance began the evening session on the dancefloor, with plenty more unique dance shapes to follow.
I’d like to wish Sally & Wes a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
