Ty'n Dwr Hall - Amanda & Calum
In March, I had the immense pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Amanda and Calum at the stunning Ty'n Dwr Hall in Llangollen. The entire day was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable moments, and I couldn't help but have a smile on my face throughout. It was wonderful to be back at Ty'n Dwr Hall after a couple of years, and what a day it was to return!
Ty'n Dwr Hall is an exquisite venue nestled in the picturesque landscapes of Llangollen. With its historic charm and enchanting surroundings, it's the perfect setting for a wedding. The hall boasts beautiful architecture, lush gardens, and a serene stream, all of which provided a stunning backdrop for Amanda and Calum's special day. Being back at this wonderful venue reminded me of its timeless beauty and why it's such a beloved location for couples to tie the knot.
The day began in the Dressing Room with Amanda and her bridesmaids. The room was buzzing with excitement as hair and makeup were being done. Capturing the emotion and interaction during these intimate moments was a joy. I focused on the delicate details of Amanda's dress, shoes, jewellery, and invitations.
Next, I headed over to the Bridal Suite to capture Calum and the groomsmen. The atmosphere was one of anticipation and camaraderie as they prepared for the ceremony. From capturing the gents receiving their gift boxes to the candid shots of them getting ready, each moment was filled with a great sense of fun and excitement.
One of my favourite moments was photographing the touching alterations with her mum and the heart-warming dress reveal with her bridesmaids, which brought tears of joy and lots of laughter.
The ceremony took place in the beautifully decorated Ceremony Room. Amanda made a stunning entrance with her Mum, after descending Ty'n Dwr's iconic staircase. As she walked down the aisle, you could feel the love and emotion in the room (lots of it). I captured every precious moment: the exchange of vows, the rings, the first kiss as husband and wife, and the signing of the register..
Immediately after the ceremony, we stepped outside for the confetti toss. The drinks reception was a great time to capture guests mingling and enjoying the festivities. I then took Amanda and Calum for a couples shoot around the grounds of Ty'n Dwr Hall. We utilized the picturesque stream, the charming cottage, and the rustic swing to create intimate and romantic portraits. Following this, we arranged for group photos and captured the details of the reception room with Amanda and Calum.
The cake cutting was called, which preceded the Wedding Breakfast & speeches. Each speech was a beautiful tribute to Amanda and Calum, filled with love and best wishes for their future.... plus a load of laughter.
As the day turned to evening, I made sure to grab Amanda and Calum for remaining group photo's and for one last creative shoot. Utilizing the stairs with off-camera flash, we created dramatic and romantic images that added something a little different to their wedding gallery. The evening celebration continued with the first dance
I’d like to wish Amanda & Calum a lifetime of happiness. Congratulations to you both and thanks so much for booking Nathan Roberts Photography to capture your special day. I had a lovely day celebrating and capturing your day with wonderful family and friends.
